Note that there are only ten basic jamo for vowel usage comprising of the first two rows of the table (a, eo, o, u, ya, yeo, yo, yu), 'eu' and 'i', all the remaining characters are formed from these. Moreover, there are some early thoughts on the creation of the Hangeul characters
